About Us

Goonawarra Neighbourhood House is a not-for-profit organisation which offers a range of programs supporting the needs of our community. We seek to be inclusive and supportive of people from diverse backgrounds and varying abilities. We believe every individual has inherent worth, knowledge and skills.

Volunteers are vitally important to the successful running of the Goonawarra Neighbourhood House programs. We value the contributions of our volunteers and aim to provide meaningful opportunities for our volunteers to share their unique skills and interests.

Our Playgroups

We offer a range of Playgroup sessions throughout the week. You can support one group or many!

Plant & Play: Tuesdays 9:30 – 11:00am

Sensory Playgroup: Fridays 9:30 – 11am

Family Playgroup: Saturdays 9:00 – 10:30am

List of Tasks - Playgroup Helper

• Developing positive relationships with children and families
• Helping to set up / pack down play equipment
• Support Playgroup facilitators with tasks that arise throughout the session

Desirable (but not required) Skills & Experience

• Experience with families & children
