MS Plus is funded to provide a volunteer visiting program – the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS). Volunteer visitors share stories, go for a stroll or have a cuppa, listen to music or play a board game. Our volunteers play a vital role in the life of a person living in an aged care home or their own home through ongoing friendship.

We have a charming lady who would benefit from your friendship. She worked a career helping others and has a creative heart that enjoys nature and her garden. She would greatly enjoy a weekend visitor willing to potter in her garden, go out for a coffee or stroll around the block.

You need to be warm, caring, reliable and be willing to commit to weekly visits, or at least fortnightly visits, for a minimum of 12 months.

Good English communication skills are required for this recipient, however volunteers with other languages willing to be matched to the same language are very welcome to enquire.

MS believes in a person-to-person approach and aspire to match you with someone local with shared interests and hobbies.
