As a volunteer in this position you will help people with disabilities experience the fun of fishing, by: • Giving practical assistance to participants - setting up fishing gear, baiting and casting a line, and catch care; • Showing an awareness of current rules and regulations regarding recreational fishing; • Developing relationships with participants to enhance their self-esteem, life skills, awareness of the environment and experience a quality outdoor activity; Importantly, carers accompany people fishing with us to look after their personal needs so our coordinator and volunteers can concentrate on any assistance required with fishing.
