Camp Footloose Volunteer - Arthritis NSW

Arthritis NSW

Logo for Arthritis NSW

Camp Footloose offers a unique camp experience for children aged 8-18 who live with juvenile arthritis. It's a chance for these young individuals to connect with others facing similar challenges, engage in fun activities, make lasting friendships, and begin to take charge of their condition. Your support is crucial in bringing this vision to life!

As a volunteer, you'll work alongside our committed team leaders and staff, guiding participants through an array of exhilarating activities including abseiling, flying fox, rock climbing, a challenge ropes course, and archery. Additionally, you'll gain insights into the condition and its management through educational sessions led by health professionals and specialists throughout the week.

Our nursing staff are always on hand to assist with medication and other medical needs, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for everyone involved.

Volunteering at Camp Footloose is not just about contributing to a great cause; it's also an opportunity to develop and enhance skills in leadership, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork. If you have experience in these areas, your expertise will greatly benefit our camp.

This camp is a distinctive avenue to gain invaluable experience working with young individuals affected by a rare condition and to support a vulnerable, disadvantaged group. It's an exceptional chance for those with a background or interest in health professions to make a significant difference and to fulfil a personal commitment to community service.

If this opportunity resonates with you, we invite you to become part of the Camp Footloose volunteer team. Apply today and embark on an unforgettable journey with us.
