Role description:

The role of a playgroup volunteer is to support the leader who runs the group. It involves set up, pack up, helping to run free play, mat time, arts and craft, snack and outdoor play. It’s an opportunity to support families in the community who have young children and to encourage them to be meaningfully engaged in activities that help with their development. Whilst it is not essential other requests we ask of volunteers is support with Kidz Bizz promotion events 1-2 times a year (2-4 hours) and helping to prepare art and crafts for each term (cutting, pasting, sorting etc). We also have a mid year and end of year catch up where we gather all volunteers from our different sites. Here we celebrate and show appreciation for all our volunteers by meeting for a coffee or sharing a meal. It’s also an opportunity to touch base with others on how each of our groups are going, what’s working well and what we can do better.
