Duties overview:

  • Complete pre-departure briefing online
  • Attend Reserve briefing with staff on arrival at reserve.
  • Visitor engagement and support
  • Welcome arrivals, including provision of safety briefings, accommodation info and information about things to do such as drives & walks, Provide information to guests and visitors about accommodation / facilities and camp etiquette, reserve expectations.
  • Sharing and promoting the work of Nature Foundation in a positive manner with links to how people can support our work in conservation.

Precinct Activities

  • Prepare accommodation facilities for guest arrival based on booking manifest information. Governess Cottage, Jackaroo’s Hut, Shearer’s Quarters. Shower, Toilet block.
  • Take EFTPOS payment for drive up accommodation or Nature Drives bookings.
  • Checking / cleaning shared facilities such as kitchen and toilets/bathrooms.
  • Restocking consumables.
  • Notifying Staff of any faults or repairs.
  • Rubbish removal, top up tourist resources.
  • General cleaning and maintenance of tourism precinct s
  • Maintain & checking camp grounds
  • Any other activity as requested by Staff if comfortable to do so, including minor repairs, construction and conservation activities.

Volunteer Accommodation provided in our cottages or shearers' quarters with access to shared kitchen, dining and bathroom facilities, or travellers with their own self-sufficient caravan arrangement can use our campgrounds.

2 Volunteers needed per assignment across the tourism season April through to October.
