Helping Hand Aged Care Inc

Logo for Helping Hand Aged Care Inc

Helping Hand has partnered with the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) to connect older people in our residential care communities with a dedicated volunteer. We want to bring friendship and joy to older people who may be socially isolated, or who might be finding it hard to connect with others due to cultural, physical or other barriers.

We are looking for a Polish speaking volunteer to spend time and build a friendship with a Polish female resident at our Mawson Lakes care home.

ACVVS volunteers make regular social visits and provide companionship and friendship to residents of aged care homes.

Activities you might take part in during your visits include having a cuppa and a chat, going for a short walk, playing card or board games, reading or listening to music.

  • An NDIS screening check is required (Helping Hand will assist in coordinating the NDIS screening check).
