Bunnings BBQ volunteers wanted in Frankston and Cranbourne VIC!

Cancer Support Angels Ltd

About Cancer Support Angels:

Cancer Support Angels is a not-for-profit organisation that focuses on contributing to the well-being of cancer patients nationwide by providing support initiatives across the country.

Established in 2019, Cancer Support Angels is a volunteer-run organisation focused on uniting its network to support cancer patients during some of the most difficult times in their lives by providing care packages, facilitating support groups and financial support. The team can bring a sense of joy and relief to both patients and their families alike.

Funds raised will ensure that we can provide cancer patients with financial support, helping make life a little bit easier at Christmas. Last year over 200 families applied for help, and with the ever-increasing rise in the cost of living, we expect that number to be even higher this year.

We are looking for volunteers to help us organise our BBQ days. The day will involve having 15 volunteers per location to run each BBQ in 3-hour blocks successfully. Everything needed (sausages, bread etc.) will be ordered on behalf of our volunteers; and you will be assisting the Lead Volunteer with the following:

  • Setup and organisation of the booth in your designated Bunnings location
  • Food prep, cooking and serving of orders
  • Wrap up after the event

Time Commitment: we need volunteers to run 3-hour blocks – 7.30-10.30 am (set up and serve), 10.30-1 pm (serve), 1-4 pm (serve and pack away)

Volunteers located in Frankston and Cranbourne areas are encouraged to apply!

If you or anyone you know (Friends and family) would like to get involved and run a BBQ in your local area, please email your expression of interest to [email protected] - it’s an excellent opportunity to get your friends and family together and help support a great cause.

The volunteer will need to be vaccinated against COVID 19.
