Keen to learn new skills or happy to share those you already have?

If you answered YES to any of the above, then contact Marble Bar VFES  as we have lots of opportunities for volunteers.

We encourage members from all backgrounds to express their interest in joining. If suitable, you will be trained in a range of activities including responding to statewide emergencies such as:

  • Floods, cyclones, storms, tsunamis and earthquakes.
  • Temporary repairs to houses damaged as a result of storms, flooding, structural damage, fallen trees etc.
  • Land searches and vertical rescues.
  • Assisting the WA Police with searches for missing or lost persons
  • Large scale search and rescues
  • Providing first aid; casualty removal
  • Responding to local emergencies such as structure fires, bush and scrub fires, road crashes and hazardous material (HAZMAT) incidents
  • Working with the community to identify and manage local fire risk.
  • Undertaking local fire prevention activities with the community

You will learn how to assist your community in preparing for these events and often be called upon to help other emergency services.
