About Us: Early Support for Parents provides support to families with dependent children. We aim to help families build on their strengths, improve their quality of life, and become independent from service intervention. Through our volunteer home visiting and related services, Early Support for Parents seeks to support parents and contribute to the social and emotional well-being of families in Southern Tasmania.

About You: As a Family Support Worker volunteer with Early Support for Parents, you’ll have the chance to visit families participating in our programs and help parents and caregivers set and achieve goals that improve their well-being. With training and support from our team, you’ll have the skills and confidence you need to develop and maintain positive, supportive relationships with families to facilitate the achievement of their identified goals and outcomes.

Responsibilities: Core responsibilities as a Family Support Worker volunteer are: Develop and maintain positive, supportive relationships with families.
Commit to effective communication, and, Use technology for accurate and timely casework record keeping.
Comply with Early Support for Parents policies and procedures.
Commitment to Early Support for Parents values, including professional development.
