Volunteer Visitor, lifestyle enrichment for people living with dementia

MS Plus

Logo for MS Plus

MS Plus is funded to provide a volunteer visiting program – the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS). Volunteer visitors share stories, listen to music or play a board game. Our volunteers play a vital role in the life of a person living in an aged care home or their own home through ongoing friendship.

We seek compassionate Volunteer Visitors to provide social companionship to residents in aged care and living with a neurological condition, such as dementia.

If you are local to Tyabb and can offer companionship to an elderly gentleman who enjoys chats, playing Rummy King and Uno, walks in the garden, gardening and feeding the birds, we would love to hear from you.

In this volunteer role you will make a positive and significant contribution to the quality of someone's life.

You need to be warm, caring, reliable and willing to commit to at least fortnightly visits for a minimum of 12 months/ongoing.

Good English communication skills are required, however volunteers with other languages willing to be matched to the same language are very welcome to enquire.
