The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of CAN Community Support.

CAN Community Support in conjunction with the Church of All Nations Carlton has been running a weekly community lunch for residents of the Carlton public housing high rise towers for decades. Come and join this fun and diverse community! We are seeking volunteers to help host and run our community lunch in the following areas:

• set-up of meal space and hosting of guests
• serving of meal
• meal co-ordination
• planning, cooking and shopping for a simple meal for 30 guests -clean-up
• helping ensure clean up happens at the end of our lunch session

This is a wonderful way to serve the community, meet people from diverse backgrounds and have a chat and a laugh - it's a great community building atmosphere!
