We are looking for a kind and caring lady to become a Volunteer Visitor and provide friendship to a socially isolated lady living in an Aged Care home in the Mt Gravatt area.

Visits may include sitting outside in the gazebo or having a small walk looking at the garden together and encouraging her with gentle conversation. Our resident grew up in Central Queensland. Some of her interests include listening to music and she really loves animals, especially dogs!

Regular fortnightly visits provide the resident with valuable friendship. Through this regular one-to-one visiting great friendships can be formed. These visits from a Volunteer Visitor can help to improve the quality of life of the older person and help them to feel less socially isolated.

Volunteering as a Volunteer Visitor can be a very rewarding experience. By becoming a friend to an older person, you can make a positive difference to their lives as well as your own.
