Serving the community by providing a commitment in time, knowledge, expertise and service on a voluntary basis through operational and non-operational roles. Volunteers with the Marine Rescue Services may undertake various roles such as: Crewing a marine rescue vessel Administration Chart reading and navigation *Training and Assessment
Time commitment varies from location to locaion and depends on your responsibilities. In most cases it can be tailored to suit both you and the group.
Responsibilities include:
Attending incidents whenever possible
Following instructions given by group officers
Operating and maintaining equipment correctly
Attending group meetings regularly
*Participating in training as require
Volunteers must live in 6280 postcode area for rapid response to callouts.
