St John Ambulance QLD is looking for volunteers for our Community Visitor Program where volunteers visit an elderly resident for an hour, once a fortnight in the Bethania area. As a Community Visitor Volunteer, your visits may include a conversation, reading or sharing a simple activity together such as listening or playing music.

Many residents in aged care facilities have little contact with friends and relatives and some will feel isolated. Your once a fortnight visit will help improve their wellbeing and can make a positive impact to their lives as well as your own. Volunteers must be 18 years old and above and all volunteers will receive training, orientation, ongoing support from the ACVVS Coordinator. A requirement of this role is that you complete a National Police Check at no expense to you.

For more details or if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us on 1300 785 646.
