If you are an avid knitter and/or sewer and enjoy helping others with similar interests, we would love to hear from you. Many of our residents have recently expressed an interest in engaging in more-frequent knitting/sewing activities, so we're seeking a volunteer with this skill-set to help establish small group activities and/or to support residents one-to-one.

This role enables residents who require support to more fully-participate in recreational opportunities and involves:

• setting-up group activities
• encouraging residents to attend activities
• supporting residents with knitting/sewing tasks
• engaging socially with residents
• packing-up resources.

Through regular ongoing visits, you will establish wonderful new friendships with residents, as well as the staff and volunteer team. You will be guided in your role by the site's Therapy team, and Bethanie's Volunteer Services Team also provide ongoing support.
