We are implementing a walking group on a daily basis, so if you want to support our residents and can spare a few hours one day per week, this is the role for you.

Taking a walk in the fresh air is something many of our residents enjoy and this role enables residents who require support to fully-participate.

This role involves:

• walking 1-1 alongside a resident
• engaging socially with residents
• providing encouragement to residents
• assisting to push wheelchairs (where able).

Through ongoing visits, you will establish wonderful new friendships with residents, as well as staff and the volunteer team. You will be guided in your role by the site's Therapy team. Bethanie's Volunteer Services Team also provide ongoing support.
