Position Overview: We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Volunteer Canteen Assistants to join our team for the Kokoda Challenge. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the canteen operations, ensuring volunteers, and staff have access to refreshments during the event..

This canteen does NOT serve customers, it is purely to serve volunteers, staff and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

* Sandwich Making: Assist in making sandwiches for volunteers lunches and pack them into bags for collection to be dropped into their location. * Hot meals: Help to place hot meals into containers and be ready for dinners to be dropped into location. * Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure the canteen area is clean, organised, and adheres to health and safety standards throughout the event. * Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, answer enquiries, and assist with any special requests or dietary considerations.

Qualifications:

* Customer service-oriented with good interpersonal skills. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure under pressure. * Food handling and safety knowledge is a plus.
