Massage therapy can help cancer patients feel better, both physically and emotionally. After a massage, patients may cope with side effects better. It is a way to lessen pain, anxiety and nausea. It also helps to release stress and tension. As part of the Oncology Day Unit Team, Volunteers will provide a gentle hand or foot massage to patients visiting the unit. Volunteer aims: • To create a positive, healing and relaxing environment for patients in the Oncology Day Unit by providing hand massage to patients • To assist in enhancing our quality of service
