The Family Room is specifically a non-clinical area of the ward, where children and families can relax, have a snack/light meal, beverage, play, watch TV, shower, work or do nothing at all.

The volunteer role involves welcoming families into the room, preparing snacks/light meals, baked goods, beverages etc. The role also involves some general light house-keeping tasks to keep our space safe and ready for families to visit and of course offering a gesture of kindness on what could be a difficult day for someone.
