Position Overview: We are seeking reliable and compassionate Sweep Team Volunteers to join us for the Kokoda Challenge. As a member of the Sweep Team, you will play a crucial role in supporting participants along the route, ensuring their safety, and providing assistance to those who may need extra support during the event.

Key Responsibilities:

* Participant Safety: Walk the course route to ensure all participants are accounted for and provide assistance to those who may be struggling or need support. * Participant Encouragement: Offer words of encouragement, motivation, and support to participants, fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere. Whilst also keeping in mind this is there personal challenge, so may want you to hang back behind them * Communicate with Event Staff: Keep open communication with event organisers and staff, reporting any issues, concerns, or emergencies promptly. * Course Sweeping: Ensure that the event route is clear of participants as well as track marking, signage and any rubbish that you might come across. * Safety Protocols: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a secure and well-organized event.

Qualifications:

* Compassionate and empathetic with good interpersonal skills. * Physical fitness and ability to walk or cover the route as needed. * Basic knowledge of first aid and emergency response is a plus. * Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
