The aim of the scheme is to improve the individuals quality of life for those who have limited family, cultural and social contact and may be at risk of social isolation. It is about building connection and friendship between the volunteer and recipient.

During the visit the volunteer and recipient will have a chat over a cup of tea/coffee, play a board game, partake in arts and crafts or a number of other activities based on the shared interests of both individuals.

The minimum requirement for the role is one hour a fortnight.
