Are you a Champion of Community Impact – Volunteer in Aged Care Services

Tabulam and Templer Homes for the AGED

Older individuals, particularly those from culturally and linguistically diverse or complex vulnerability backgrounds, are at a higher risk of social isolation with negative impact on their health. You can help us in making a positive change, improving the wellbeing of an older person.

TTHA supports community-based organisations in the recruitment and matching of volunteers under the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS), aiming to provide companionship through voluntary visits to socially isolated recipients of government-subsidised residential aged care and home care packages.

Support older people in maintaining a social connection and improving their quality of life in an aged care facility or in their private home.

You could: · Provide companionship over a cuppa. · Teach or learn a new language or skill. · Make music together. · Play card and board games. · Discuss sport, politics, or history. · Bring your own ideas; be creative.

We look forward to hearing from you.
