Help us to make "rough terrain" wheelchairs by re-purposing discarded bicycles

Your work may involve the dismantling of old bikes, cutting plywood, using up-to-scratch power tools and machinery, or simple work such as painting the wood, sandblasting old bike frames or packaging the finished product. You don't need any specific trade skills, but the willingness to put on gloves and protective gear. If you have worked with metal or woodworking machinery, that would be useful but not essential. Are you handy in bicycle repairs? Sometimes we get a bike that is too good to be "wrecked" for parts, so we refurbish it for re-sale or donation to a local charity, with the proceeds used to buy materials. Full training is provided.

Most of our volunteer workers are retired gentlemen, but there is of course no restriction - ladies are welcome! Age is no restriction at all.
