Community Transport Driver - Maitland

ADSSI Limited

The position is part of a team of volunteer drivers, who provide essential transport services to the frail, aged and those with disabilities, their carers, and others who are transport disadvantaged.

  • Drivers use MCCS’s fleet of well-kept, branded vehicles. The role delivers a door-through-door service. This includes assisting clients from door into/out of vehicle.
  • Drivers may also be required to assist with walkers, wheelchairs and the like. Carers sometimes accompany clients.
  • In addition to the transport, the service provides highly valued incidental social interaction with our clients.
  • Driver’s “run” for the day is scheduled in advance by MCCS’ Customer Service Office. Trip details are communicated through fitted, in-vehicle transport specific devices.
  • MCCS’ Transport Service is a high quality professional service where volunteer drivers are trained and supported and vehicles maintained to meet high quality safety and accreditation standards of the NSW Passenger Transport Act (2014).
  • MCCS highly values the contribution that our Volunteers make. We provide all our volunteers with uniform/PPE, access to lunchroom facilities, training and support, regular communication, and periodic meetings and social events.
  • We strive to provide an environment that is friendly, happy, welcoming and appreciative and where the ideas and feedback of volunteers is valued and sought after.
