Thriving Families is a vibrant community-based family support program that runs out of Nambour Community Centre. We connect and support families through a range of diverse and innovative support, connection, and access points. The program is based on the premise that the best way to improve the development and wellbeing of children is to support and resource parents and families.

Thriving Families workers are passionate social workers who are committed to social change. We are attempting to work with families within the community, in a way that meets the needs and broader challenges inherent in the social context in which we all live. We know it’s sometimes tough, and we recognise that change and family look different for everyone, and so we endeavour to work alongside families in a way that privileges the lived experience and voice of families, as experts in their own lives and futures. To address the challenges faced by vulnerable families in the community, Thriving Families offers a range of supports such as groups, drop in, one off supports and case management. Families participate in TF programs do so on a completely voluntary basis.
