We are seeking compassionate and friendly volunteers to provide one on one companionship and social interaction for our residents.

If you are a caring and gentle person who enjoys helping people and can spare a few hours each week/fortnight, this could be the role for you.

The activities you would share with the resident could be as simple as sharing a cuppa and a chat, playing games, listening to music, watching TV and taking walks together in the garden.

You will be matched with a resident who shares similar life experiences, interests and hobbies.

Volunteering with BaptistCare is a rewarding experience to both to volunteer and the resident. The one on one visit helps the resident to build resilience, combat loneliness and helps to reduce the feeling of isolation.
