There are a number of older people, living across the Joondalup area, who would enjoy your company for a chat and cuppa to brighten their day, as they have very little or no family or friends to visit. No formal skills required, just friendly and chatty!

The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme is funded by the Australian Government. Established to promote links between people living in an aged care facility and their local community.

The aim of the scheme is to improve the quality of life of those who are living in residential care or are still at home but have limited family, cultural and social contact and may be at risk of social isolation.
