The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme supports individual elderly community members who may be feeling socially isolated. Volunteers are matched with individuals with similar interests for regular weekly or fortnightly social visits or outings. To volunteer you need to : Be over the age of 18 years. Have time to commit to weekly or fortnightly visits for a minimum of 12 months Be happy to undergo a screening process (interview and reference checks) Undergo a Police Check and sign a Statutory Declaration if necessary.
