Operation Sunshine WA is a 100% volunteer run Perth based charity supporting women, children, young people, and families impacted by violence and abuse or crisis across Western Australia. We provide practical support to people displaced by family and domestic violence, entering out of home care, or at risk of/experiencing homelessness through our various initiatives.

Our operations are based in Maddington, however most elements of this role would be undertaken online or on site at fundraising event locations as coordinated.

The role We are looking for an energetic and creative individual to join our committee and coordinate events and fundraising campaigns to raise funds and community engagement for Operation Sunshine WA. The fundraising and event organiser would be responsible for the coordination of community events and fundraising events and campaigns working in partnership and with the support of other committee members.

Key duties: • identifying potential fundraising event opportunities • sourcing donors and sponsorships for events • managing event registration • all aspects of event planning including venue hire, risk assessment, permits/licences, set up/pack down, event volunteer management • Participation in 6 - 8 weekly committee meetings

  • Assist with packing sessions as required
