The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of mecwacare.

An intergenerational tea and chat companion provides friendship and companionship to an older person on a weekly or fortnightly basis. You can also engage in mutual interests such as:

• sharing stories
• walking
• reading
• sport
• dog companionship
• music
• arts & craft
• gardening

mecwacare is excited to be participating in the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) which supports isolated and lonely people who are receiving aged care services in an aged care home or through a home care package.
