Uniting AgeWell

Logo for Uniting AgeWell

The Hawthorn Men's Shed is a well set up and fully stocked woodworking shed and is heavily utilised between Monday to Friday by a great group of members all with various levels of skill and woodwork knowledge. The Shed is on the lookout for two assistants to help out the Shed Coordinator and to be able to guide and assist our members through their various projects. The wood projects can range from furniture making down to hand carving and everything in between. Volunteers will need to have a minimum of intermediate level of woodworking skills.

We offer opportunities in skill and knowledge development, as well as ongoing support and mentoring. Good communications skills and the ability to work independently are a must. Having a driver’s licence/access to own vehicle is highly desired but not essential. We value diversity in lived experience, language, skills and abilities.
