An Aged Care home which makes you feel at home.

Set on the grounds of the grand Linda Mansion in Camberwell, Baptcare Hedley Sutton Community is a relaxed and inviting residential aged care community. We provide all levels of care, delivered by a highly experienced, nursing-led team.

Our residents enjoy private rooms and shared spaces that are filled with natural light and furnished with modern décor, overlooking landscaped courtyards and beautiful garden areas. There is even a lovely on-site café for residents and their family, friends and support Volunteers.

As a Social Connector your role will be to provide social support to our most vulnerable residents. Often, we find residents are lonely as their friends and family have either moved or passed away. You will bring the warm and friendly conversation that is bound to be rewarded with smiles, laughter and a pat on the hand. Our residents will delight in your visits knowing how special and precious the time you give is.

Our Volunteer Program Team provide support to Hedley Sutton Volunteers with our Talent Acquisition Lead, Marina providing you with one-to-one support to progress your application, aide in getting the necessary legal credentialling done and then introducing you to your Volunteer Program Specialist, Bryan.

Bryan will take you on a site tour, provide your induction and introduce you to Staff, Volunteers and most importantly our much-loved Residents. Bryan will match you to one or more residents based on the amount of time you have to spend on site and your hobbies and interests. Ensuring you have a match you can easily talk to is just as important for you as it is for our Residents.

Our Volunteer Program Partner, Lana will make contact once your onboarding is complete introducing you to the many ways Volunteering has changed her life. From there Lana will make contact from time-to-time ensuring you feel valued, supported and recognised. This unique team of three will ensure you always have someone to provide you with support or advice.

During your time with us you will have opportunities to undergo training to improve your skills, knowledge and experience. We will engage and share with you the same inclusive benefits our Staff are provided including discounts, free Wellness Program and access to our Reward & Recognition benefits. We deeply appreciate the efforts our Volunteers go to and are open to your feedback. We provide feedback opportunities post recruitment and onboarding, during each year of your Volunteer involvement and as you transition away from Baptcare for whatever reason that may be.

By joining Baptcare Hedley Sutton Community you will find that sense of community you have been longing for, through creating connection you will feel something stir within you warms your heart.

We are a diverse, equitable and inclusive community recognising everyone as a contributor to something much bigger than themselves. We sincerely look forward to you joining us.
