Sales Op Shop (Voluntary)
Picabeen Community Association
The Change Room worker is a voluntary position supporting daily operations of Picabeen Community Association Inc. (Picabeen) Change Room second-hand clothing store.
The purpose of this role is to work collaboratively as part of a team to promote sales and deliver quality customer service to increase income to support the work that Picabeen undertakes in the community.
In this role you will:
- Welcome, greet and serve customers in a friendly, courteous, helpful manner.
- Assist with general housekeeping and cleanliness of the shop to ensure safety and comfort for customers and volunteers.
- Receive, sort and price donated goods in line with procedures, following pricing guidelines.
- Display and rotate goods for sale in the store in line with procedures.
- Help to create effective and engaging visual merchandising displays.
- Handle cash and operate EFTPOS in line with relevant procedures.
- Report problems to the Change Room Co-ordinator immediately.
- Adhere to workplace health and safety policies and procedures to ensure own safety and that of others.
- Maintain confidentiality and privacy with information relating to the store, customers, and procedures.
- Familiarise yourself with and agree to Picabeen Code of Conduct, Values and Mission.

- Knowledge of (or ability to obtain) the varied work and vision of Picabeen
- Commitment to the vision, strategic aims and purpose of Picabeen
- A positive attitude
- A current blue card or be able to obtain.
Time Commitment 4.5 hours per week or as negotiated
