The volunteer of the Youth Learning Support Program provides learning assistance (Year 6 to 10) to young people from disadvantaged migrant families to receive equal educational opportunities and better integrate into mainstream community.

About the role

• Offer one-on-one individualised mentoring to newly arrived young students, helping them flourish both academically and personally.

• Offer homework assistance.

About you

• 16 years and over

• Speak simple Cantonese or/and Mandarin/or other community languages

• Good communication & interpersonal skills

• Police Check & Working with Children Check

• Ideally have above average grades or completed HSC satisfactorily

• Covid-19 vaccination certificate.

• Availability to work in Hornsby areas or offer online assistance.
