About us: Bridges Connecting Communities is a not-for-profit organisation that provides volunteer services to the local community to support independence and promote socialisation within our senior and disability community who reside in their own home. Knitting Club members create knitted and crocheted items of their choice with the option of knitting for various charities including KOGO (Knit One Give One). About you: The Knitting Club is looking for people to come and assist the club facilitator to support our wonderful club members. Bring your knitting and/or crochet skills along to share with our talented club members You will enjoy spending time with older people and be a good listener and communicator. You like to bring the best out in older people by encouraging them and showing genuine interest in them. You have a lot of patience, an abundance of kindness and a fun sense of humor.
