Can you work independently and relate well to others? Do you enjoy helping those in the community who are transport disadvantaged?

The City of Marion is looking for Community Bus Drivers to help aged people who are transport disadvantaged to access community activities, shopping centres and social clubs.

Driving applicants are required to have a current car licence which is all you'll need to drive our 12-seater buses transporting clients of the Community Bus Service.

In providing this service you will be supporting our clients to:

  • Access transport to and from shopping centres, the adult recreation centre and social clubs
  • When needed, help by carrying shopping for clients to their front door if requested
  • Assist residents to attend social activities

Other aspects to the role include:

  • Report to the community bus coordinator any changes that may affect a client’s ability to access the community bus
  • Report to Community Bus Coordinator any bus-maintenance issues

If this sounds like you, then we want to hear from you. Contact the Community Bus Coordinator to learn more about this role and how you can get involved.

*All volunteers will need to have a National Police Check and the relevant DHS checks - these will come at no cost to successful volunteer applicants. Full training will be provided so you can offer our residents the best and friendliest service.
