Outpatients Concierge Volunteers - Westmead - #197811

As a Concierge Volunteer you are the first point of contact for our families attending the Outpatient department. It is important to make the child/young person and their family feel welcome and valued and assist through the check-in process as required. The Concierge Volunteer will be responsible for providing the following:

  • Greet the child/young person and their parents/carers warmly and make them feel welcome

  • Create a positive relationship with all children/young persons and their parents/carers by demonstrating a bright, cheerful manner

Offer assistance in relation to the check-in process; includes:

  • showing where to find the queueing ticket machines

  • talking through the ticketing process if needed

  • indicating outpatient waiting areas

  • seeking help from admin/nursing staff as required

*directing parents/carers to appropriate personnel for check-in

  • Give directions to hospital locations as required

  • Follow-up on any ad hoc request by families
