This volunteer role requires someone to assist a weekly sewing workshop to support participants to learn to sew & provide instruction, including demonstrating basic stitching. The position will provide the volunteer with the opportunity to share their skills with others. They will meet members of the local community who are keen to learn sewing techniques.

Set up the workshop space Assist in the Friday afternoon sewing class Support participants to learn to sew Provide instruction and demonstration of basic stitching
Communicate information with enthusiasm, clarity and patience Ensure safe and appropriate use of all equipment *Pack down after workshop
