Frank Prendergast House is looking for a pianist to join our volunteer team. Someone who is able to spend an hour or so a week to play the piano for our residents.

Music has the unique ability to pump us up or calm us down. A powerful force that evokes strong emotions, music brings back heartwarming memories, and provides a way to express yourself. It also has some serious scientifically proven benefits to our health and wellbeing.

Key Tasks

Play the piano for the enjoyment of residents.

Share your skills and talents with our elderly residents, who will deeply enjoy the time you spend playing the piano. Share your love for music and see how profoundly it impacts the lives of others.

It is proven that music facilitates communication, music helps keep seniors active, music benefits mental health and music improves memory. You could help bring all of this to our elderly residents.
