In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering individual and group counselling services to clients of PeelConnect. These services must adhere to the ethical and professional standards set forth by the Australian Counselling Association (ACA). The counsellor will conduct thorough client assessments and develop personalized treatment plans based on their specific needs, goals, and presenting concerns.

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records is of utmost importance, and the chosen candidate will be expected to follow PeelConnect's policies and procedures, as well as comply with the ethical and legal requirements outlined by the ACA. The counsellor will also participate in regular clinical supervision meetings with the Director of Counselling Services, and engage in ongoing professional development opportunities as required by the ACA and PeelConnect.

Collaboration is a key aspect of our counselling services, and the successful candidate will be expected to work closely with other members of the counselling team, as well as other departments and external agencies, to ensure that clients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.

In addition, the chosen candidate will play an integral role in evaluating the effectiveness of our counselling services. This includes collecting and analysing data on client outcomes and satisfaction. Adhering to PeelConnect's policies and procedures pertaining to confidentiality, privacy, and ethical conduct is essential in this role.

Finally, the successful candidate must maintain a professional and respectful demeanor with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders. A commitment to ongoing professional development is also expected in order to continuously enhance the quality of our counselling services.
