As part of Wesley Mission Queensland, The Hopewell Centre offers a haven and support to people facing one of life’s greatest challenges, end of life. All involved with Hopewell are encouraged to explore life and death issues and provide a service based on compassion, unconditional love, and hope. The Hopewell Centre also incorporates a range of programs, including:

• Palliative care for adults
• Wesley Kids.

Our current volunteer roles include:

Reception Volunteer: Volunteers assist with welcoming and screening visitors, directing visitors to residents' rooms, assisting with tea and coffee for visitors as well as assisting with the delivery of meals from our kitchen to residents and refreshing flowers. Various are shifts available.

Gardening Volunteer: Volunteers assist with sweeping, trimming trees and shrubs, watering, transplanting plants and cuttings, fertilising and general garden maintenance. Shifts are available Monday to Friday, shift times are negotiable.

Hospice Kitchen Assistant: Volunteers assist kitchen staff with preparing and serving food and beverages for Hospice residents and Day Respite clients. Shifts are available every day 9:00am to 12:00pm, or 4:00pm to 6:00pm.

Entertainment Volunteer: Experienced entertainers are required who have a warm and friendly disposition. Volunteer times are negotiable.
