Spend time with people who are living with dementia. You'll help assist with mealtime at the HammondCare aged care home in Wahroongah. You'll find this volunteer opportunity rewarding as you make mealtimes an enjoyable experience (12pm daily or 5pm daily). Your caring and patient attitude will be invaluable.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.
