The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of Thorne Harbour Health.

Thorne Harbour Health provide a range of volunteer and staff support for people living with HIV, members of the LGBTI community and people with disability. Client transport has been a central part of the program's work since it began in 1984.

Volunteer drivers provide transport for medical appointments, shopping and social support appointments.

Duties:

• Taking clients to and from their home to major hospitals or medical clinics
• Transport for shopping help and social support
• Providing general client observations and feedback to Community Support staff

Required:

• A good driver with their own car
• Daytime availability (Monday - Friday)
• Enjoy meeting people and chatting with them
• Able to build rapport with a wide range of people
