Primary School Student Mentor

Lifestreams Community Services

You will spend one hour per week during school hours with a student in need. At first you will build a rapport by playing games, chatting and sharing a drink/food together. Then when you have established a good relationship, you will work with the student on a project of their choosing (not necessarily related to school curriculum) that helps them develop their independence, mastery, generosity and creates a sense of belonging. You should be kind, considerate, patient, enjoy spending time with children, and be consistent in your attendance to establish connection and consistency for the child. Police Clearance and Working with Children Check are required, and we can help you obtain these.
