We are seeking enthusiastic people to join us at VMCH Boutique Opportunity Shop in Balwyn on Whitehorse Road, as a retail sales assistant. Balwyn Op shop sells affordable preloved clothes, books, other clean and undamaged merchandise. Volunteers are an integral part of VMCH's 4 Opportunity Shops and Warehouse, they help raise vital funds for the people we support.

A little bit about us, we’re a Catholic not for profit organisation, providing services to 7,600 people across Victoria. VMCH services are as diverse as the people we support. Every day of the year our teams provide a wide range of support from early learning and therapy, specialist education, disability services, affordable homes, residential aged care, retirement living and at-home aged care

Duties of the roles include: o Replenish stock on the shop floor with merchandise as required o Create a visually welcoming and friendly environment o Provide exceptional customer service to members of the public o Process payments for the sale of goods o Maintain a safe and clean working environment

You will receive - o Onsite support from store managers o Excellent induction and training opportunities o Inclusion into the VMCH volunteer program

Requirements: o 3 hours per week, morning or afternoon shift (Monday to Saturday) o Enthusiastic and team player o Punctual and reliable o Good communication skills and customer-friendly attitude o Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds and with diverse needs
