Some residents within the Aged Care setting have little or no visitors. By visiting a resident each week or once a fortnight you can make a positive difference in their lives and enhance their quality of life. These visits give the resident a chance for connection and contact with the community and helps them to feel better in themselves. Social connectedness is important for all of us and helps improve our mental health. Covid has caused a lot of isolation, but now that Centre's are able to have volunteers it is time to redevelop this sense of community.
