Asista Volunteer Mentor

YWCA Australia

We are seeking volunteer mentors who want to make a difference to girls aged 12-18 in the child protection system in Melbourne. Now in its 25th year our Asista Mentoring Program provides these girls with friendship, guidance and encourage on their journey to become strong, resilient adults.

Mentors are asked for a commitment of 2 – 6 hours a fortnight of face-to-face contact with their mentee for a minimum of 12 months.

Being an Asista Volunteer Mentor is your opportunity to make a positive impact. One of our mentors has shared, “Out of all my achievements in life, this rates very highly. I am proud to be her mentor and be able to help her.”

Ongoing training, support and supervision is provided to Asista Volunteer Mentors.

It is essential for a volunteer mentor to have a driver’s licence and access to a car.

Locations: Greater metropolitan Melbourne (north and west) and Melbourne CBD.
