The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of Kew Neighbourhood Learning Centre (KNLC).

Do you like to sew? Would you like to use your skills to help others? Join us at KNLC as we sew doona covers that will be given to women escaping family violence.

A community project in every sense - all fabric has been donated by a local business, with the bedcovers being sewn together by people within the KNLC community and then passed on to a women's shelter. We hope that this practical, yet basic need, warms not only their bodies but also their hearts.

You will need to have your own sewing machine if you wan to join our group who are sewing.

Sewing not your thing…we would still love your help putting together take home kits, cut and sort fabric and general help.
