Transition Bondi is part of the global Transition Towns network, building local resilience and building community, through environmental projects. Our group is well-established and has been operating since 2009 running educational programs and events guiding people towards taking action to support a healthier planet while building a stronger sense of community.

Transition Bondi hosts a community composting system where local residents and businesses can donate food scraps, diverting organic waste from landfill into valuable compost instead. We are looking for someone who wants to get involved in this community project. The role would involve; managing the worm farms and compost bins, including stirring at least once per week, emptying bins when full and labelling which ones are open for donations; responding to enquiries (via email, facebook or instagram) and liaising with local donors. Prior experience composting or willingness to learn about composting is important and you would collaborate with the garden coordinator to supply the garden with compost when needed.
